實車介紹

●ワム80000形為了配合貨運作業機械化，於昭和35年（1960年）誕生，是可對應棧板（パレット）運輸的15噸級兩軸有蓋貨車。

●其最大特徵為整面側門皆可開啟，方便貨物裝卸。

●該形式為日本鐵道史上製造數量最多的貨車，總共製造了26,605輛，是國鐵貨物列車的代表性車輛之一。

●同時，它也是第一款採用「とび色2號（深棕色）」塗裝的貨車。
